Educated at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School of the University of London I gained B.Sc. Anatomy in 1967, MB.BS in 1970 and the MRCP in 1973. When a student I was President of the British Medical Students Association and then President of the International Federation of Medical Student Associations. I was awarded FRCP in 1984 and since then have gained an LLB in 1994. My early medical education was in the Liver Unit of the Royal Free hospital with Dame Sheila Sherlock. I have held the posts of Senior Lecturer Gastroenterology, Clinical Tutor and Consultant at the Royal Free Hospital Medical School. My main medical interests are Gastroenterology and Endocrinology. I see patients with diverse medical problems but in particular those with abdominal pains, heartburn, diarrhoea, constipation, irritable bowel, ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s disease, diabetes, thyroid disease and the Metabolic Syndrome (Syndrome-X). I perform Gastroscopies and Colonoscopies at the Princess Grace Hospital Endoscopy Centre each Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. Appointments for endoscopies can be arranged by calling my practice or directly with the Endoscopy Centre on telephone +44 (0) 20 7908 2085. I have admitting rights for in-patients at The Princess Grace Hospital, The London Clinic and the Wellington Hospital.
